We've made it easy for our members to get the service they need from their couch, their kitchen table or from a park bench. We're excited to help you open the door to your financial future with Advance Savings.  It takes as little as 5-10 minutes to open an account online. Plus, you can complete the entire process anywhere, anytime using a computer, tablet, or your mobile phone.

Having the following information handy will help.

Personal Information and an ID

To open your account, you will be required to provide personal information like your address and will need at least one piece of Government issued ID.
Banking Information

If you’re already an Advance Savings member and are opening another product, you’ll need to have your existing MemberDirect online banking account number and access code so we can link your accounts.
$5 to Deposit in Shares

To get all the perks of being a member, you’ll need to buy a share of the credit union. The share is $5.00 and will be held in a separate account; you'll be able to deposit your share by pre-authorized payment, e-transfer or by mailing a cheque. If ever you choose to close your membership, you'll get your share back.
Joint Member Information

If you're opening an account with another person, they must provide their personal information too.

How long will it take for the account to be opened once I submit my information? Expand/Collapse

A team member at Advance Savings will review your account documents once it is received and will contact you for any remaining details or to confirm your account within two business days.

What products can I apply for online? Expand/Collapse

You can open chequing and savings accounts,  guaranteed investment certificate and apply for a loan or line of credit.

Do I have to finish the account opening process at one time? Expand/Collapse

You can take as much or as little time as you like. You'll be given an application ID and will choose a password so you can return if you need to.
